The Bedu ERRP – shortlist, Australian Design Awards Dyson Student Award

With millions of people worldwide affected by natural disasters every year, the Bedu ERRP proposes a quickly erectable rapid response, cross cultural, multi climate, solution to these situations. Designed by Toby McInnes of UNSW Faculty of the Built Environment, the Bedu ERRP comes at a time when the planet is being besieged by an ever evolving meteorological and geopolitical environment. Basically, the Bedu ERRP is an emergency survival kit designed for fast and efficient delivery, as one complete unit, deliverable within the critical first hours after a disaster. It can support eight people during any rebuilding stage for up to five years. It’s made from durable but affordable materials, and interchangeable parts combined with a robust build quality.
