The worlds of fashion and technology come crashing together in the great outdoors with the Burton Audex Jacket series – the joint venture between mobile communications guru Motorola and the outdoor gear experts at Burton. The Audex outerwear collection offers wearable communication and entertainment with its integrated Bluetooth stereo wireless technology that allows you to stream and download music via your Bluetooth-enabled phone or portable music device. The jacket’s sleeve features an easily accessible, easy-to-operate control system for changing tracks and volume. The jacket also features a wired stereo headset jack, or alternately, the hood boasts built-in stereo speakers. When wearing the Audex jacket, you can make and receive hands-free phone calls with the push of a button on the sleeve, which also dons a caller ID display, and the microphone built into the collar lets you speak and be heard. Tech specs aside, Audex jackets are outfitted with durable and weather-proof Storm-lite fabric, and stuffed with 500 goose down fill. Crossflow venting and mesh-lined Pit Zips allow for air flow. The Audex collection of jackets retails from $249 to $599. Burton
